Introduction

Clive made his first wine in 1984 at Elsenburg. In a blind tasting it won 1^st place. This inspired him to study Oenology and start various tasting clubs “Varietal Characters” and Ten of the Best”. Tasting became his passion, profession and hobby.He obtained a wine judges certificate and his Cape Wine Masters in 1993 and has judged on every conceivable panel in South Africa since .He is an inspirational, highly entertaining wine educator and hand-crafts wines both in the Cape and in Burgundy. He is also the former principal of the Cape Wine Academy.Panels Judged: Wine Magazine, Wine of the Month Club, Diner’s Club Wine List of the Year, Reader’s Digest, Veritas, Swiss Air, Grapeworx, Wynboer, John Platter and Terroir Wine Awards. He also ran the Interprovincial Blind Tasting Championship for ten years.Recently selected as International Judge at The Royal Hobart Wine Show in Tasmania.
